Some of Eleanor Beck's People Powered Sewing Machines
A visit to Eleanor and Dick's house was quite an experience. They have a small building that houses nothing except sewing items. If it has the word 'sew' in it, then Eleanor has it or is trying to get it.
I came home with two machines - a treadle and a handcrank. Both very nice and I intend to sew with them both.

After these pictures were taken, Dick and Eleanor retired, sold this house and moved to the villages. Eleanor is no longer with us, but a lot of people treasure their machines from "The Collection of Eleanor Beck."
When Eleanor passed in July of 2009, many people who had machines from her collection made quilt blocks and they were autographed by the quilter then assembled into a hugs quilt by Vicki Davis. I was able to deliver that quilt to Dick at his home."
