January, February, and March 2008

A friend of my wife's asked me to finish this quilt. It is a Bethlehem Star, from 1950-1960 and was made by a friend of her family. It took almost three months to do this quilting.

I also quilted three quilts for the Angels. They will go to a children's charity.

I got this idea about leaves while watching a show on the Discovery channel. The center block was ditigized from a coloring book drawing. The name of this quilt is, of course, "One Last Leaf." It went to a church to be sold at auction.

Last November we bought a classic 1968 Cadillac DeVille. We purchased it in Lynn, Indiana and drove it home to Orlando Florida. It is in excellent condition, all original everything. Charles sat in it one last time and I took these pictures, which then became a quilt.

I couldn't find any Cadillac fabric for the back, however I did find some classic car fabric.

A baby quilt for Pierce. His mother decorated his nursery in classic Winnie the Pooh, so the quilt has to be classic Pooh also. I was going to piece the quilt, but hated to cut the fabric that I found, so left it as it was.

Started quilting another twelve quilts for the Angels. I think that these are going to the Shriner's burn hospital in Tampa.
