Treadling a Pfaff 130 |
|
|
The Pfaff 130 was an electric model however, after the belt broke, I removed the electric motor and electric light, then went to my Singer 127 treadle, removed the treadle head and dropped in the Pfaff. I found that I needed to shorten the belt about 3/4 of an inch to get it to work. It is much harder to treadle than the singer head, but it does Zig-Zag. One other note - the size of the wheels is different so even when I am treadling at full speed, the Pfaff is sewing slowly. That would take a little work to correct. In summary, I believe that I'll make it electric again because I do like treadling the 127. That Pfaff is a real work horse. |
